The shelter is about 4' high at the entrance angling down to about 18" at the rear of the shelter. It's approximately 12' to 15' across the front and 8' deep.
The interior is loaded with debris brought in by animals over the years, and there is a large pack rat midden in the rear of the shelter. There are many small animal bones littering the floor as well as what looks like the remnants of several agave plants. Even though there is not a lot of visible fire blackening, there may be evidence of a fire pit underneath of debris littering the floor. There were also several artifacts.
Somehow a small herd of burros has managed to escape the roundup of burros and horses conducted by the BLM in Nevada.
